It features 8GB of internal memory and supports microSD cards for data storage. It is also capable of streaming FM radio. You can also register your own personalized settings for up to 3 settings. For transcription requirements, a DNS mode is available to optimize settings for use with Dragon Natural Speaking software that allows you to convert your speech into text data.

You can also download MP3 or WMA music files from your computer and use the recorder as a digital music player. The zoom microphone mode allows you to select microphone directivity from zoom to wide in 10 steps. You can choose ultra-zoom mode to enhance the speaker's voice when recording from a distance in a lecture hall or wide mode to capture clearer voices with minimized noise when recording a nearby subject such as in interview.
